A Saba Case Study
Kuehne + Nagel, a global logistics leader with 830 offices in over 100 countries and 46,000 employees, needed to scale and accelerate training and collaboration across widely dispersed teams while cutting travel and integrating rapid growth from acquisitions. Traditional classroom-based training and traveling trainers were increasingly impractical and costly, so the company sought an IT-based solution to streamline training, shorten live meetings, and better connect operational communities.
Kuehne + Nagel adopted Saba’s web-based virtual classroom as part of a blended learning approach (live classes, CBTs and virtual sessions), leveraging VoIP, screen and PowerPoint sharing, whiteboards, assessments and session recording. The platform rolled out globally with 95% user approval, enabled rollouts in days instead of weeks, delivered tens of thousands of online sessions, reduced travel and meeting frequency (e.g., from six–seven to two–three annual meetings for some teams), and produced substantial time, cost and cultural benefits while maintaining training quality.
