Försäkringskassan - Customer Case Study

Sweden’s Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan), a government agency with 14,000 employees, faced the challenge of rolling out an ambitious, enterprise-wide learning and development program to improve staff knowledge and responsiveness to citizens across many benefit areas.

Working with Comenius and Saba, the agency deployed Saba Learning and related talent tools, launching 60 new web courses and delivering 480,000 hours of learning in year one (about 250,000 hours annually thereafter, split 50/50 between web and instructor-led). The platform added collaboration networks, reporting, and virtual classroom capabilities, became the backbone of people management, and is projected to save roughly 37.5 million SEK (~US$6M) annually through faster case handling, lower recruitment costs, and improved competencies.
