A S&A Communications Case Study
The Town of Cary, a municipality in North Carolina, faced a challenge in funding tens of millions of dollars in essential projects for its growing population. To secure the least costly funding option through voter-approved bonds, the town hired S&A Communications to plan and implement a public information campaign educating voters on three 2012 bond packages.
S&A Communications developed a comprehensive campaign branded as Community Investment Bonds. Their solution included creating a logo and website, producing a wide array of informational materials, coordinating direct mail to over 53,000 households, and managing extensive advertising across multiple channels. The result was a resounding success, with each bond passing by a significant margin; the Transportation bond passed 70%-30%, the Parks bond 69%-31%, and the Fire Station bond by an overwhelming 80%-20%, representing higher margins than any vote in Cary's modern history.
