How J. Garcia Lopez Funeral Home uses Runway's API to create unique experiences for their clients

J. Garcia Lopez Funeral Home, one of Mexico City’s largest funerary services, wanted to create a meaningful Día de los Muertos campaign that would engage clients in a digital, video-based experience while generating leads. To do this, the funeral home partnered with Runway ML and used Runway’s API, specifically its Image to Video tool, to bring uploaded photographs of departed loved ones to life.

Runway ML helped the team build a landing page where visitors could submit their information and upload a photo to be animated into a smiling, waving video and emailed back to them. The campaign was built in-house in just two days, ran for two weeks, and produced 10,000 videos and 16,000 leads, 61% of them net-new, at a cost of 6.52 Mexican pesos per lead.
