How America Votes State Summit Convenes High profile Speakers and Thousands of Attendees on Run The World

America Votes, the coordination hub for the progressive community, faced the challenge of converting its annual State Summit to a virtual format during the COVID-19 pandemic while still bringing together hundreds of state organizers, national strategists, donors and high-profile speakers. To maintain interactivity and accessibility across the country, America Votes used the Run The World platform to host the event.

Run The World enabled America Votes to run a three-day, self-service virtual summit with panels, fireside chats, parallel breakout workshops, sponsor booths, sign language interpreters and an “Invisible Moderator Mode” for behind-the-scenes support. The Run The World-powered event featured 150+ speakers (including Stacey Abrams and Trevor Noah), 1,300+ attendees, 10,392 interactions, 8,000+ emoji reactions and 40+ sponsors, expanding accessibility and speaker participation beyond an in-person format.
