How alpha Kappa Delta Phi Saved Memorial Day

aKDPhi (Alpha Kappa Delta Phi) faced the sudden cancellation of its Memorial Day National Convention due to the COVID-19 pandemic and needed a virtual event platform that could support multiple concurrent workshops, persistent engagement, and easy mobile and desktop access—requirements that standard videoconferencing tools couldn’t meet. They turned to Run The World and its event platform to recreate the weekend’s mix of talks, workshops, networking, and community activities online.

Run The World provided an engagement-focused solution—interactive talk rooms with emojis and live chat, a Cocktail Party mix-and-match networking feature, persistent group chats, and an auto-generated registration site and homepage—enabling three simultaneous workshops with 100+ sisters each and a lineup of fitness, calligraphy, and career sessions. The virtual convention drew 785 registrations with 624 attendees, garnered strong attendee compliments, and kept sisters connected and energized throughout the weekend.
