Rullion partnered with a Large UK Rail Operator, one of the UK’s biggest rail providers, to help tackle complex contingent labour challenges across multiple sites and large-scale rail projects. The customer needed a more cost-effective, efficient recruitment model with greater supplier visibility, faster time-to-hire, and the ability to source technically skilled workers for demanding overhaul, maintenance, and digital transformation work.

Rullion delivered a managed service solution covering recruitment, worker engagement, pre-screening, on-site account management, and health and safety support. The partnership has run since 2004 and currently supports 245 contingent workers on site, with a 100% vacancy fulfilment rate, an average time to hire of 4.5 days, and 99% of candidates sourced directly. Rullion also supported major project delivery across eight large-scale projects, achieved a Hiring Manager NPS of 78, and saved the customer more than £9,000 on one phase by bringing drugs and alcohol testing in-house.
