Texas State University sought to increase freshman enrollment while simultaneously growing fundraising and alumni engagement. To address these dual goals, Texas State partnered with Ruffalo Noel Levitz and deployed the RNL ONE Engagement Center along with search management, inquiry-handling services, and a student-staffed phone team.

Ruffalo Noel Levitz implemented the RNL ONE Engagement Center as a joint enrollment and fundraising call center and provided data cleaning, outreach lists, and training for a 30-member student phone team. The results include a 45.7% increase in freshman enrollment over five years (3,930 to 5,727) and a university-wide enrollment high of 38,006; fundraising outcomes include a 26% increase in donors (9,144 to 11,525), a 105% rise in dollars pledged via the student phone team ($178,220 to $365,127), a 53% increase in specified pledges (2,088 to 3,189), a 34% jump in average gift ($85.35 to $114.50), credit-card gifts rising to 50.1% (adding $182,929 in instant pledges), and a 14-point improvement in phone contact rate (46% to 60%)—all credited to the Ruffalo Noel Levitz partnership.
