Oral Roberts University worked with Ruffalo Noel Levitz to improve the quality of the first college year, boost student satisfaction, and raise retention. ORU administered the Ruffalo Noel Levitz Student Satisfaction Inventory (since 2001), added first-year strength/receptivity inventories, and employed a Ruffalo Noel Levitz statistical model to estimate each incoming student’s persistence probability and individual risk factors.

Ruffalo Noel Levitz’s surveys, assessments, and analytics made one-on-one conversations more data-driven, helped staff and faculty identify and connect students with needed resources, and highlighted at-risk students who might otherwise be overlooked. Those interventions produced measurable results: fall-to-fall retention increased from 76.8% to 81.6%, demonstrating Ruffalo Noel Levitz’s positive impact on student success and retention.
