Making Enrollment Management Everyone’s Job at Illinois Eastern Community Colleges

Illinois Eastern Community Colleges, a four-college district serving more than 17,000 students, faced multi-year enrollment declines as well as the disruption of the Covid-19 pandemic. To reassess its approach, the district brought in Ruffalo Noel Levitz for help with enrollment management and strategic planning.

Ruffalo Noel Levitz first conducted a Campus Opportunity Analysis and then worked with IECC on strategic enrollment planning to align senior leadership, recruiters, and student success staff. The district has since posted three consecutive terms of positive enrollment, increased headcount by 2,412 over the previous fiscal year, and improved full-time retention rates at two of its colleges to between 55% and 72%.
