Mount Mary University, a small private Catholic women’s university in Milwaukee, wanted to maintain steady enrollment and revenue while serving a highly diverse student body. With Ruffalo Noel Levitz, Mount Mary developed a more strategic financial aid plan, moved up to sending aid packages in October, and improved its communication strategy with parent engagement flows and bilingual communications. The university also expanded from one or two online events before the pandemic to almost one every day of the week, increasing outreach events by 500%; admitted student rate rose 11% and confirmed student rate rose 29%, while enrollment stayed steady, discount rate decreased, and revenue increased.
