Lakeland University Uses Program Prioritization to Strengthen Online Enrollment

Lakeland University wanted to expand its online program portfolio while balancing institutional strengths with market demand. In summer 2021, it worked with Ruffalo Noel Levitz on a Program Prioritization and Positioning analysis through RNL Enable Market Research to identify which programs were most likely to attract students and where the university could be well positioned.

Ruffalo Noel Levitz conducted a 360-degree environmental scan of 10 programs, compared regional forces with national trends, and then narrowed the set for deeper competitor analysis. The research gave Lakeland University a clearer sense of market share, exposed differences between regional and national data, and provided recommendations the team described as thorough, thoughtful, timely, and very helpful.
