Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania worked to manage enrollment and financial aid in a challenging COVID environment. The university needed better data and insights to guide enrollment and aid strategy, and it partnered with Ruffalo Noel Levitz for support.

Using Ruffalo Noel Levitz financial aid solutions and predictive modeling, Slippery Rock improved several key outcomes. Yield rates and FAFSA filer rates were both nearly 10 percentage points above the national average for public schools, yield of needy students rose 4 percentage points for fall 2021, the discount rate stayed at almost half the national public school average, and nonresident enrollment increased while many schools saw declines.
