How Goshen College used RNL solutions to increase enrollment and net tuition revenue

Goshen College, a private Christian liberal arts college, faced five years of declining enrollment, falling net revenue, and high admissions turnover when they engaged Ruffalo Noel Levitz in 2014. Goshen began with RNL Recruitment Consulting and later adopted RNL Advanced FinAid Solutions, RNL SMART Approach, RNL Demand Builder and strategic enrollment planning to rebuild processes, data, communications and cross-divisional capacity.

With Ruffalo Noel Levitz’s guidance the college implemented improved search and financial aid strategies, training, marketing automation and better analytics. The work produced measurable gains: a 37% increase in first‑year applicants (860 → 1,176), a 56% increase in admitted first‑year students (482 → 752), about a 35% increase in enrolled first‑year students (159 → 215), growth in Latino/a undergraduate representation (13% → 20%), and a 38% increase in net tuition revenue over two years.
