A Ruffalo Noel Levitz Case Study
Baldwin Wallace University faced the challenge of growing and improving the quality of its incoming class while working with limited marketing and staff resources. To address this, Baldwin Wallace partnered with Ruffalo Noel Levitz (RuffaloCODY), deploying their Enhanced Search Strategies (ESS) and Enrollment Strategy Profiler (ESP) to better target and prioritize best‑fit prospects.
Ruffalo Noel Levitz used logistic‑regression search models and RCQ‑based profiling to score purchased records and classify inquiries into “high profile” and “low profile” groups. The targeted approach delivered measurable gains: search records produced a 3.92% inquiry‑to‑deposit rate versus 1.57% from other sources, search accounted for 47% of deposits, and search deposits averaged a 3.55 GPA (vs. 3.25). High‑profile inquiries were 31% of the pool but generated 88% of deposits and 88% of sophomore retention, with inquiry‑to‑applicant conversion of 20.71% (vs. 2.26% for low profile). As a result, Ruffalo Noel Levitz helped Baldwin Wallace better allocate resources, cut waste, meet enrollment goals, and improve student quality and retention.
