Smart Wi-Fi Enables Service Providers to Supply Customers with Only the Best

Wifirst is a Paris‑headquartered ISP specializing in high‑density managed Wi‑Fi for student housing, hotels, military bases and campgrounds, serving over 500,000 rooms. Their challenge was to deliver uninterrupted, high‑quality broadband at scale—supporting a growing number of concurrent users while centrally managing more than 100,000 access points.

Wifirst deployed Ruckus ZoneFlex indoor/outdoor access points with BeamFlex adaptive antennas and the Virtual SmartZone (vSZ) controller, enabling automatic interference mitigation and centralized management. The result was stronger, more consistent coverage, increased concurrent user capacity, simplified administration of the large AP estate, and a noticeably better end‑user experience.
