San José International Airport delivers 203 Mbps free Wi‑Fi with RUCKUS Networks

San José International Airport (Mineta International Airport) sought to deliver reliable, high-capacity Wi-Fi as part of a major modernization, needing to support thousands of travelers in a high-density environment. Partnering with RUCKUS Networks, the airport deployed a solution using RUCKUS Wi-Fi 6 access points and a SmartZone WLAN controller to meet this challenge.

The solution implemented by RUCKUS Networks resulted in the airport achieving the fastest free airport Wi-Fi in the United States, with an average download speed of 203 Mbps. This provided a four-fold increase in Wi-Fi speed and range, handling more than 16 TB of weekly traffic and delivering a seamless, improved experience for travelers.
