Case Study: PKS POLONUS S.A. achieves reliable, high-capacity Wi‑Fi for hundreds of users at Warsaw West Station and Hostel Zachodni with RUCKUS Networks

Ruckus Wireless Network at the Warsaw West Station

PKS POLONUS S.A., the leading bus carrier in the Mazowsze region and operator of Warsaw’s West Station and nearby Hostel Zachodni, needed to replace a limited Wi‑Fi setup (one access point) with a robust network that could serve passengers, hostel guests and around 500 employees. The challenge was to provide seamless public and secure internal access across the station, hostel and company premises while supporting several hundred simultaneous, diverse devices.

Ruckus Wireless, implemented by NextiraOne, deployed 13 ZoneFlex 7363 access points and a ZoneDirector 1100 controller to extend coverage and manage traffic. The new network delivers reliable, fast and stable Wi‑Fi for public users (with bandwidth controls) and authenticated employee access via Active Directory, handles several hundred concurrent users, supports internal applications and intranet access, and has met or exceeded the client’s expectations.
