Lush Cosmetics, the UK‑founded retailer known for fresh, handmade bath and beauty products, opened a five‑floor flagship store and spa in Hong Kong and needed a fast, reliable wireless network to support up to 60 connections per hour for staff devices (scanners, EPOS, video conferencing) and customers. Their existing Wi‑Fi suffered from unstable connections, slow speeds and interference from store materials, so Lush sought a higher‑capacity solution to enable guest Wi‑Fi and seamless in‑store digital experiences.

Lush deployed five Ruckus ZoneFlex R500 Unleashed dual‑band 802.11ac Wave 2 access points, using controller‑less management and Ruckus BeamFlex and ChannelFly technologies to maximize coverage and mitigate interference. The installation delivered higher throughput and reliability, reduced upfront costs by eliminating separate controllers and licenses, and improved internal operations and customer engagement—enabling instant social uploads, smoother transactions and a more consistent in‑store experience, with plans to roll out the solution to additional Hong Kong stores.
