A RUCKUS Networks Case Study
Paycom Center, home of the NBA’s OKC Thunder and large-scale concerts, was constrained by an aging network—low‑capacity switches, limited AP coverage at gates, no fan Wi‑Fi and rising support costs—which prevented vendors, staff and guests from reliably connecting during sold‑out events. The arena needed a wired and wireless upgrade to meet modern large public venue (LPV) standards and support ticketing, POS and media workflows.
Rectitude369 selected RUCKUS Networks to deploy 250 indoor/outdoor APs, 349 ICX switches, RUCKUS SmartZone, RUCKUS AI and NetRaven managed services, upgrading the backbone from 20 GB to 200 GB and becoming one of the NBA’s first arenas with Wi‑Fi 6. The overhaul delivers terabytes of event traffic, average peak speeds of 51 Mbps down/49 Mbps up, 10,000+ network ports, support for 330 POS tablets and measurable increases in fan engagement and reliability.
