A RUCKUS Networks Case Study
Pulitzer Hotel, a prestigious Amsterdam property spanning 25 restored 17th–18th century canal houses with 227 rooms, was operating on an outdated network and receiving daily guest complaints. With rising demand for high‑capacity streaming, multiple mobile devices per guest, IP‑TV and robust business connectivity, the hotel needed a future‑proof, secure and easy‑to‑manage Wi‑Fi solution that could handle high density and the challenges of thick historic walls.
Working with DeLorentz, Pulitzer implemented a Juniper wired backbone and a Ruckus wireless rollout—H500s in every room, R500s in public areas, an R700 in the meeting room, a T301‑S outdoor AP and a SmartZone 100 controller—after a thorough site survey to optimize coverage. The upgrade delivered free high‑capacity Wi‑Fi and IP‑TV (with minibar integration), seamless roaming, consolidated secure systems, eliminated guest complaints, simplified cloud‑based management and provided a scalable, future‑proof network.
