Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi Enables High-Density Learning

Belleville Township High School District 201 in Belleville, Illinois serves about 4,700 students and 480 staff across two high school campuses. The district had been using a Ubiquiti Unifi system and suffered severe client-density problems—access points stalled with more than ~30 clients, nearby classrooms caused signal overlap and slow connections, and students and teachers couldn’t reliably access cloud-based learning resources.

Belleville deployed Ruckus Cloud Wi‑Fi with 75 Unleashed R600 indoor APs, leveraging BeamFlex+ adaptive antennas and a cloud-managed console (no extra on-site controllers). The new network reliably supported high-density use—administrators reported up to 100 clients per AP with no connectivity issues—improved roaming, smoother classroom lessons, simplified single-pane management, and reduced cost per device.
