Case Study: Richard Challoner School achieves disruption-free 1:1 digital learning with RUCKUS Networks

A RUCKUS Networks Case Study

Preview of the Richard Challoner School Case Study

RUCKUS and Simpli-Fi power digital learning at prestigious Surrey school

Richard Challoner School, a top-performing Surrey secondary and Sixth Form with around 1,300 students and a 1:1 device scheme, was struggling with unreliable Wi‑Fi that caused frequent downtime, poor signals and lesson disruptions. Repeated AP reboots ate into teaching time and pulled the IT team away from priority tasks, undermining the school’s digital-learning ambitions.

Simpli‑Fi deployed 85 RUCKUS Wi‑Fi 6 access points, ICX switches and a RUCKUS SmartZone controller, using BeamFlex and ChannelFly to maximise throughput and reduce interference. The result is campus-wide, high-density coverage for up to 1,500 devices, stronger security, easier management, faster guest access, device tracking and fewer disruptions—freeing IT to focus on strategic priorities and providing a cost‑effective, future-ready network.
