Case Study: Christian Academy achieves campus-wide, high-capacity Wi‑Fi for 1:1 learning with RUCKUS Networks

A RUCKUS Networks Case Study

Preview of the Christian Academy Case Study

Reliable Infrastructure Provides for Digitized Learning

Christian Academy School System, a private network of five campuses serving over 3,000 students and 500 staff, was prioritizing digitized learning but its legacy Wi‑Fi could not cope with the surge in devices—more than 800 in the first phase of a 1:1 program—creating heavy IT ticket volume and unreliable connectivity. The school needed a unified indoor/outdoor wireless LAN with higher per‑AP capacity and room to scale as device demand grew.

Partner Mirazon replaced the failing system with Ruckus ZoneFlex indoor APs (R700/R710/R510/R500) and outdoor bridges, managed by a ZoneDirector and backed by Brocade ICX 7000 switches. The new network quickly restored reliable, high‑throughput coverage across campuses, reduced IT tickets, supported the 1:1 initiative, and future‑proofed the school’s wireless infrastructure.
