Park West delivers seamless Wi‑Fi across 15 buildings and 3,406 beds with RUCKUS Networks

Park West, a luxury student housing community at Texas A&M University, required a robust and future-proof wired and wireless network to serve thousands of student residents across its 15-building campus. The challenge for RUCKUS Networks and their partner Synergy Fiber was to deploy an easy-to-manage solution providing ubiquitous coverage, strong signal strength, and secure high-bandwidth access to support a growing number of devices and users.

RUCKUS Networks implemented a solution using ICX switches for scalable switching, indoor and outdoor RUCKUS access points for reliable connectivity, and a SmartZone controller for simplified management. This resulted in a seamless network throughout the complex with enhanced security and easier maintenance. The deployment by RUCKUS successfully increased the number of concurrent clients supported per access point while delivering the reliable, high-performance Wi-Fi expected as a key residential amenity.
