A RUCKUS Networks Case Study
Oakland Arena faced the challenge of modernizing its outdated network infrastructure to support a tenfold increase in fan density following its shift to a concert venue. Its legacy system caused high latency and frequent disconnects, threatening the fan experience and operations during sold-out events. The arena partnered with RUCKUS Networks, deploying RUCKUS T670SN Wi-Fi 7 Access Points and ICX switches to address these high-density demands.
The solution, engineered with partner Fortis Solutions, involved a full network refresh completed in just 13 days without disrupting events. RUCKUS Networks' technology provided faster, reliable connectivity. The results included handling 8.22 TB of traffic during a concert stress test, supporting nearly 10k concurrent devices, and achieving high upload speeds. The deployment created a scalable foundation, protected revenue, and ensured network reliability for the next decade.
