Case Study: Northwest Harvest achieves uninterrupted AI-driven warehouse connectivity with RUCKUS Networks

A RUCKUS Networks Case Study

Preview of the Northwest Harvest Case Study

Non-profit uninterruptedly distributes millions of meals with AI-driven converged RUCKUS network

Northwest Harvest, a Washington State non-profit that supports hundreds of regional food banks, built a 200,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Yakima that includes a 55,000 sq. ft. sub-zero freezer and chilled storage. The facility’s size, high ceilings and refrigerated areas created RF and connectivity challenges, yet staff needed simple, reliable Wi‑Fi everywhere to run handheld scanners, mobile workstations, printers and warehouse management applications.

Interface Technologies Northwest and RUCKUS deployed an AI-driven solution using RUCKUS One cloud management, RUCKUS R650 access points and ICX 7150 switches to deliver site-wide coverage. The rollout provided seamless connectivity even in freezers and on the warehouse floor, simplified administration with AI/ML-driven monitoring and auto-provisioning, eliminated switch failures, scaled for peak distribution periods, and enabled Northwest Harvest to focus on uninterrupted food distribution and expand improvements to other sites.
