A RUCKUS Networks Case Study
The District of Mission, a municipal government in British Columbia with roughly 500 employees across multiple departments, faced a strained network environment: managing separate wired and wireless systems was labor‑intensive and costly, security onboarding and revocation were cumbersome, and aging static technology couldn’t keep up with growing Wi‑Fi demand.
The district deployed RUCKUS hardware and software—access points, ICX switches, the SmartZone controller and Cloudpath enrollment—to unify management and secure access. The result is a single pane‑of‑glass view of wired and wireless networks, lower operational overhead, per‑user dynamic PSKs tied to Active Directory for self‑service onboarding and instant revocation, improved coverage and capacity, and a platform that enables future smart‑community initiatives.
