A RUCKUS Networks Case Study
Frankelandgroep, a Dutch elderly-care provider serving about 800 residents across five locations with ~1,200 staff, needed a dependable wireless network to move from paper records to an Elektronische Cliënten Dossier (PlanCare). The organization required seamless roaming and full coverage in every apartment and corridor, a single secure network for staff and guest Wi‑Fi, and enough capacity and reliability to support clinical workflows without outages or delays.
Working with Oaktree and RUCKUS, Frankelandgroep deployed 328 RUCKUS access points and two SmartZone controllers, using BeamFlex antennas, VLAN segregation, and certificate‑based EAP‑TLS authentication. After a successful test phase, the rollout delivered 100% coverage, strong, reliable signals even under heavy load, faster bedside access to ECDs, improved central management and security, and a future‑proof platform for new services.
