A RUCKUS Networks Case Study
High School Oos‑Moot, a Pretoria secondary school serving about 1,500 pupils and 90 staff, was held back by a fragmented legacy network—three separate LTE‑driven networks, inconsistent and unreliable Wi‑Fi, limited LAN connectivity and poor telephony—forcing multiple service providers to constantly fix faults and disrupting teaching while driving up costs.
CommScope and implementation partner Emtelle delivered a unified, future‑proof infrastructure in under four weeks: Cat6 and singlemode fiber backbone, 10G switching, RUCKUS access points, UPS protection, network monitoring, VoIP handsets and 73 IP full‑HD CCTV cameras. The school gained consistent wired and wireless performance, higher WAN bandwidth and uptime, improved security and a single managed‑services OpEx model that supports cloud migration and ongoing SLA‑backed maintenance.
