A RUCKUS Networks Case Study

Preview of the FANXP Case Study

Fanxp connects football stadiums to the internet With ruckus solutions and generates new sources Of revenue for soccer clubs

FANXP, an Argentina‑founded company with offices across the US, UK and Latin America, identified that major football stadiums were still largely “analog” despite fans’ heavy smartphone use. To modernize matchday experiences for clubs like Boca Juniors, Colo‑Colo and Alianza Lima, FANXP set out to connect arenas serving about 130,000 fans per week—installing more than 250 RUCKUS access points at La Bombonera alone—to meet demand for reliable, high‑density Wi‑Fi and digital services.

Working with RUCKUS/CommScope, FANXP deployed fiber backhaul, high‑density APs and cloud management (Virtual SmartZone, RUCKUS AI) plus stadium apps for food delivery, content sharing and in‑seat wagering. The rollout improved network performance and remote management, enabled new revenue streams and sponsor analytics, and delivered measurable ROI; FANXP plans to expand from three to at least eight smart stadiums and pursue opportunities across Brazil and Europe.
