A RUCKUS Networks Case Study
The District of Mission, a municipality in British Columbia, faced significant challenges with its existing network infrastructure. Their previous single-vendor solution for wired and wireless equipment was labor-intensive, expensive, and difficult to manage securely. The district's technical services team required a complete indoor/outdoor solution that could be managed from a single control point to support their growing needs.
RUCKUS Networks implemented a solution featuring 15 access points, 13 ICX switches, a SmartZone controller, and the Cloudpath security software. This provided the district with a single pane-of-glass view for managing their entire network. The new RUCKUS infrastructure was more affordable, required substantially less day-to-day IT involvement, and integrated seamlessly with their Active Directory for secure, self-service user onboarding. The successful deployment has even enabled discussions for future smart community initiatives.
