Armonea, a leading Belgian senior-care provider with 67 nursing homes, over 4,200 employees and more than 6,500 residents, needed a reliable, system‑wide WiFi solution after legacy, unmanaged access points left coverage and performance inconsistent across facilities. Consistent resident connectivity, guest/BYOD access for visitors and doctors, and support for staff healthcare applications were key requirements.

Armonea engaged Myrtus to deploy a centrally managed Ruckus ZoneFlex network (R300 indoor and T300 outdoor APs) with the Virtual SmartCell Gateway in the cloud. Ruckus’s BeamFlex technology delivered up to three times more bandwidth and up to eight times more coverage, reduced hardware and cabling needs, and enabled a separate guest network plus secure staff use for healthcare registration, VoWiFi and new resident‑facing apps—improving connectivity, efficiency and future innovation.
