Altice Portugal faced the challenge of providing reliable, high-performance Wi-Fi coverage for 157,000 attendees at the MEO Sudoeste music festival. Festivalgoers expected constant connectivity to share experiences via social media and streaming, but delivering this in a large, dense venue was difficult. To meet this need, they turned to RUCKUS Networks.

The solution involved deploying 96 RUCKUS Wi-Fi access points across the festival grounds, complementing an existing network. This RUCKUS infrastructure successfully supported approximately 20,000 connected devices, enabling participants to share a massive 16 terabytes of content during the event.
