Data Resilience from the Cloud Strengthens Kelvion’s Data Security

Kelvion, a global manufacturer of industrial heat exchangers with operations at 67 sites worldwide, faced growing complexity and security risk from a patchwork of legacy backup systems—some decentralized and tape-based—leading to poor visibility, high administrative overhead, and inconsistent protection of sensitive data. The company set out to standardize and centralize backup responsibility under corporate headquarters to regain control and reduce risk.

Working with partner Dignum, Kelvion implemented Rubrik Security Cloud Business Edition, using its three-pillar approach—immutable Data Resilience, continuous Data Observability, and fast Data Remediation—to centralize backups, sync local copies via cloud for larger sites, and upload directly to cloud for smaller sites. The rollout cut administration and staffing needs (now manageable by a single person), lowered costs and power usage, and significantly improved ransomware resilience and recovery capabilities, with Kelvion now evaluating an upgrade to the Enterprise Edition for expanded monitoring and forensics.
