Chronopost, a leading French parcel delivery provider handling over 170 million packages a year across 100+ sites, faced critical IT challenges: long backup windows, slow recoveries, rising archiving costs, and the need for a unified, scalable disaster-recovery strategy for its largely on‑premises infrastructure and edge sites. With core customer and partner applications running on PostgreSQL, Oracle and SAP Sybase, any downtime would directly impact deliveries and customer experience, so the company needed a fast, simple solution that met stringent operational SLAs.

Working with partner Scasicomp, Chronopost deployed Rubrik’s policy-driven data management platform to protect virtual machines, databases and edge sites, and to integrate with Pure Storage. The solution delivered near‑zero RTOs, dramatically shortened backup windows, simplified DR planning, automated archival to external storage, and cut the backup solution’s data‑center footprint by about 66%, freeing IT time and ensuring high availability across central and distributed sites.
