Ruan Certified Brokerage Services partnered with Celtic Marine to manage the over‑the‑road portion of a complex heavy‑haul project: moving 53 oversized crates containing three industrial presses — a total of about 3.1 million pounds — from a barge in East Dubuque, IL to a new Ashley Manufacturing facility in Oelwein, IA. With tight timing and high risk, the team faced the added challenge that on arrival several crates weighed more than their invoices indicated, threatening scheduled equipment and transport plans.

Ruan provided proactive on‑site planning, scheduling, partner carrier coordination and contingency execution — verifying weights with a project crane and dispatching a specialized truck from hundreds of miles away when needed — to keep the project moving without major interruption. The move was completed on time, enabling Ashley’s Oelwein plant to open as scheduled and create more than 125 jobs.
