AGL, a leading Australian integrated energy company with a rapidly expanded generation portfolio, faced severe data fragmentation after growing from 300 to 10,000 MW in nine years. Disparate manual systems, “black spots” across sites and an inability to share or centrally analyse operational data left the business struggling to measure uptime, downtime and asset performance reliably.

AGL implemented RtTech’s RtDUET, which integrated with their OSIsoft PI historian and was configured to AGL’s data model and KPI rules (NERC/IEEE-compliant). RtDUET provided automated data collection, standardised reporting, IIoT connectivity and a single repository. After initial deployment across business units, AGL saw a 59% increase in data accuracy, began decommissioning costly legacy reporting systems, and gained aggregated, auditable KPIs and streamlined process logbook integration.
