Swiss Manufacturer Deploys Connext DDS to Ensure Precision in Robotic Transport

MT Robot AG, a Switzerland-based robotics company, develops autonomous transport robots and software for moving goods inside facilities. The challenge was to reliably navigate narrow corridors, busy spaces, elevators, and other complex environments while handling heavy or delicate loads and avoiding strain on limited network bandwidth.

MT Robot AG used RTI Connext DDS to create a data-centric communication layer that moves information efficiently between robot hardware, sensors, control services, and user interfaces. RTI’s software helped the UNITR robots integrate with ERP and other systems, reduce demands on customer networks, and operate safely and autonomously around the clock; the case study reports deployments in several locations and positive early customer feedback, with broader rollout expected.
