Innovative Clinical Process Management to Improve Medical Safety

DocBox worked to modernize clinical process management and improve patient safety in the face of a major healthcare challenge: medical errors remain a leading cause of death, and hospitals often struggle to organize, prioritize, and act on patient data fast enough at the point of care. DocBox chose RTI Connext DDS to support safe, secure, real-time medical data connectivity across its open platform.

Using RTI Connext DDS, DocBox created an interoperable, architecturally flexible system that can structure and distribute critical patient information to the right devices and clinicians when needed. RTI helped DocBox scale reliably as data volumes grew, from 12 patients to 200, while improving data integrity, supporting ICE standards, and helping reduce preventable medical errors to promote better care and lower healthcare costs.
