Silicon Valley Power (SVP) historically ran residential energy audits manually—sending staff into the field with paper checklists, spending about three hours per audit and often taking days or weeks to deliver results while tracking customer and building data manually. In 2014 SVP selected Resource Innovations’ mobile energy audit solution (iEnergy Onsite) to automate and streamline field assessments, increase program participation, and improve the customer experience.

Resource Innovations implemented a mobile data‑collection app tied to a backend system so audits and customer data sync instantly and an energy‑savings report is generated on the spot. The solution created a single system of record, allowed auditors to review results with customers while still on site, and cut audit time in half—freeing key staff, enabling more audits, and improving program targeting and participation thanks to faster, actionable outcomes.
