Case Study: Los Angeles World Airports achieves faster incident response and resilient business continuity with RSA Security

A RSA Security Case Study

Preview of the Los Angeles World Airports Case Study

Los Angeles World Airports’ Business Continuity and System Security Rely on RSA

Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), which operates LAX and Van Nuys and serves millions of passengers, depends on IT for more than 85% of its functions across operations, law enforcement, finance and more. To protect safety and continuity, LAWA launched the Business Continuity Information Security (BCIS) program and ran Business Impact Analysis workshops, which identified cyber threats as the top risk to airport operations.

LAWA deployed RSA Archer (including Operational Risk Management and Business Resiliency) integrated with RSA NetWitness SIEM to combine BIA data and threat intelligence in a single dashboard. The solution improved incident response and prioritized recovery procedures during outages, kept security aligned with business objectives, and helped the team earn industry recognition (2017 CSO50 award and InformationWeek runner-up).
