ADP, a global cloud-based Human Capital Management provider serving 610,000 clients and processing about $1.7 trillion in payroll annually, handles more social security and payroll data than almost any other organization. Protecting that sensitive information is mission-critical, and ADP needed a way to collect and manage logs and business-process data from disparate IT platforms, security tools and enterprise systems to support security, compliance and threat detection.

ADP implemented Pivotal as a single security-intelligence data warehouse to aggregate data from DHCP/DNS/NetFlow, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint tools and business logs, and integrated RSA NetWitness Logs and Packets to perform analysis, create rule sets and consume external intelligence feeds. The combined solution delivered unified visibility and richer analytics, enabled targeted threat detection and response, and helped ADP control data volume while strengthening protection of client and employee information.
