A RSA Security Case Study
DZ BANK, the fourth-largest bank in Germany and central institution for the cooperative banking network, faced fragmented corporate security with siloed responsibilities, inconsistent terminology and documentation, and no centralized view for management and compliance. This made it slow and difficult to create unified business continuity plans and to respond quickly to incidents.
By implementing RSA Archer (starting with a London pilot and a blueprint rollout), DZ BANK centralized processes and reporting, cutting the time to create a business continuity plan from about three months to just minutes and allowing designation of time-critical processes with a few clicks. The bank was able to mitigate incidents—such as a water supply failure affecting 1,000 employees—in minutes, achieved ISO 22301 certification, reduced audit activities, and now reports key security KPIs directly to the board.
