Sustainable Packaging Tells the Story for a Clean Beauty Brand

Leading Biotech Company, a fast-growing owner of several beauty brands, needed sustainable packaging for a new clean-beauty color cosmetics line. The company wanted packaging that could tell the sustainability story on its own while supporting rapid SKU growth, color consistency across platforms, and on-time delivery to multiple co-packer locations nationwide. RR Donnelley helped meet that challenge with scalable packaging solutions.

RR Donnelley introduced a customized hemp paperboard made with hemp, straw, and recycled cotton fiber, then designed and developed carton structures using the brand’s actual products for fit and function. RRD finalized 19 SKUs and produced embossed cartons with 35 custom soy-based ink colors, plus inserts and e-shippers across multiple versions and sizes. The result was packaging praised by the client and consumers at launch, with additional SKUs and replenishment already in planning.
