Scaling E-Learning to Reach and Train Employees Remotely

Large Insurance Solution Company, a North Carolina-based insurance solutions provider, needed to move from in-person training with heavy physical documentation to a fully remote learning model. To support 2,500 users across 85 U.S. locations while reducing travel and overhead costs, it turned to RR Donnelley for help creating and implementing an e-learning curriculum.

RR Donnelley delivered a three-part solution covering instructional design, design and development, and project delivery, transforming more than 1,000 pages of training material into eight self-learning courses and interactive modules for the client’s LMS. The 10-month project resulted in over 60% user adoption within two months of launch and an estimated 70% savings in travel and accommodation costs, while also enabling safer, more scalable training during the pandemic.
