Leading Insurance Company needed a competitive replacement for a mailing package that had been produced in China and no longer met updated USPS standards for an automated flat. RR Donnelley worked with the customer to find a new mailing solution that would also improve postage efficiency.

RR Donnelley developed the Flex Mailer™, a USPS-approved, patented mailer with a flexible outer skin and unique inner tray design that qualified as an automated flat. The first order of 1.52 million pieces delivered postage savings of $0.957 per piece, saving $1,454,640 immediately, and the solution has generated more than $4.3 million in total postage savings to date.
