The Medicaid Managed Care Organization, a not-for-profit healthcare plan serving more than 700,000 members in the Northeast, needed help managing the composition of 80 different Explanation of Benefits (EOB) versions while also lowering archive costs. Existing outsourcing support was deteriorating, so the organization turned to RR Donnelley, which had already been handling ANOC and geo-coded directory mailings for them.

RR Donnelley expanded its support beyond print with RRDCare platform-based archiving, additional composition programming, digital presentment, and electronic notifications. The solution helped the customer save $100,000 per month by optimizing print capacity, reducing archival fees and labor, and shortening integration and implementation times for EOB and denial letter changes. RR Donnelley now supports roughly 100 EOB and denial letters, 900,000 monthly impressions, and more than 90 million archive items.
