The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) Reduced their inventory with IMAF

The Iron Ore Company of Canada, a Montreal-based producer of iron ore and other minerals, needed to quickly reduce inventories while maintaining service levels and improving control of spare parts and stocked items. They engaged RPMGlobal and its IMAFS solution to address these stock optimisation challenges.

RPMGlobal implemented IMAFS to classify items by criticality and demand and to calculate optimized Min/Max inventory parameters aligned to service objectives. As a result, The Iron Ore Company of Canada achieved a 15% global inventory reduction within the first 10 months (29% reduction for items managed by IMAFS), maintained availability of critical items, and gained better overall inventory control.
