Gold Resource Corporation - Customer Case Study

Gold Resource Corporation, a gold producer operating the Oaxaca Mining Unit in Mexico, faced slow, error-prone short-term scheduling using multiple Excel spreadsheets that took up to three weeks to produce and could not respond quickly to fluctuating commodity prices or complex geology. GRC needed a simple, graphical scheduling tool that could use its entire reserve database to generate real-time, price-driven schedules, improve productivity and transparency, and provide an auditable, transferable system.

RPMGlobal implemented its XACT solution, deploying it within three days and delivering an optimized mine schedule within a week. XACT became GRC’s single source of truth, enabling engineers to run multiple plans, toggle non-economic blocks on/off in real time, and reduce schedule production time from three weeks to about three days—improving production planning, accuracy, and responsiveness while reducing lost production revenue.
